Dear Readers,
It’s always bittersweet when a story you’ve loved comes to an end — and A Destiny of Carnage by Mallory Fox is exactly that kind of ending. This final book in the Viola series took me through every emotion possible: excitement, heartbreak, and a quiet ache that lingers even after turning the last page.
I’ve followed Viola’s journey from the beginning, and I’ve come to adore the way Mallory Fox writes — raw, emotional, and hauntingly beautiful. Her words always pull me in, her characters feel real, and her storytelling never fails to make me feel something deeply. This book was no different.
That said, I’ll admit that A Destiny of Carnage wasn’t quite what I expected. While the story itself was gripping, it felt a little rushed compared to the earlier books — as if the ending came too quickly, leaving a few loose threads untied. I found myself wishing for just a bit more closure, a moment to breathe, to really say goodbye to the world and characters I’ve grown attached to. Maybe that’s just the sign of how deeply this series has drawn me in — I simply wasn’t ready to let go.
Despite that, I still loved it. Mallory Fox’s writing remains captivating, intense, and emotionally rich. She has a way of crafting chaos into poetry, and even when I found myself questioning the ending, I couldn’t deny how powerful her words still felt.
A Destiny of Carnage may not have been the finale I imagined, but it was undeniably Mallory — fierce, emotional, and unforgettable. I’ll miss Viola’s world, but I’ll also carry it with me — the pain, the passion, and the promise that even in darkness, there’s always the will to fight for more.
With love,
Monique
